The NDM Digital Signage Notification Service provides real-time messages of alerts so that critical information can reach citizens who may not receive any other type of notification. The emergency messages will over-ride any content that is being displayed on the network of HDTV screens. 

Samples of Emergency Messages that NDM can develop include:

• Missing child/person
• Natural Hazards (floods, tornadoes, fires etc.)
• Hazardous Materials Incidents (chemical spill, gas leaks)
• Terrorism
• Post Event Health and Safety Guidelines

The NDM Digital Signage Network can also be used to inform the public of emergency preparedness. This may include ads directing people to informative websites that have downloadable guides and procedure manuals on how to protect yourself and family before an event occurs.

Once an emergency occurs the process to announce a message to the public begins by logging into the NDM system and selecting one of the preset emergency template screens that will replace any existing content that may be displayed. The system will also allow you to enter text in real time to provide the community with the latest information.
